Shaffer Chimere Smith better known by his stage name Ne-Yo, is a Grammy Award winning American R&B recording artist, songwriter, record producer, dancer, and actor.
One song we are considering to use for the music video is Ne-Yo –So sickThe fact we think this song is good, is because it will make a good story/video. The lyrics tell a story and that’s really important. Ne-Yo is a well-known singer and his songs are relatable.
In the official video I like the fact that it’s talking about a broken relationship, however some scenes show them happy together. It really does capture your emotions and lets you in, it makes you feel as thou you’re in the situation.
I feel some of the elements I could use is the boy and girl scenes, it really does bring out the song more and explains the lyrics. People relate better and more when this happens. I also like the mountains that are constantly there throughout the video, it expresses a tough and hard journey to go through.

Rihanna's Loud poster looks very much like the album cover itself. The colours used are very similar and this shows that the poster is connected to the Album. The colours which are used within the poster are red and white sort of colours, this shows love and peace.
I like the fact the text 'Rihanna' is in white writing and placed near the bottom/middle of the poster, this shows elegance and also enhances the fact the other colours are very much red/pink.
The ablum 'Loud' has a few songs which are based around love and complications, the red on the poster connotates love and this represents the album really well.
The image of Rihanna is the only image on the poster and is based right in the centre of the page, straight away you see Rihanna when looking at the poster.
Her expression on her face is Rihanna looking sideways onto the camera, giving complete eye contact. Her face looks very elegant and she looks as though there is half a smile.
I feel as though the poster has been airbrushed a little bit , which you can see strongly on Rihanna's hair on the left side. However i feel it looks good and just makes her hair look much brighter, really bringing out the colour red/pink.
This is Chris Browns album poster, i am using this poster for my research as i really like the way that it is designed.
The image on the poster is only of Chris Brown, it is centered right in the middle of the poster. I feel this is a really good representation of what the album will be about, he is the main person so quite clearly the image is going to be him.
Also on the poster there is falling diamonds all around him, this can connotate that he is wealthy and maybe the album is about riches and diamonds. However the main reason i really do like the diamond feature is because it makes him look prestige and in our music video it is going to be focused on one person. With this there will also be others involved too.
In the photo chris brown is facing to the left as if he doesnt need to look at the camera, again bringing up my point that he is too prestige for this.
Behind his head there is a bright light which shines up to the sky, this connotates that he is the main person here, and that it is all about him. I like the lighting effect because it brings out the main person more and really focuses in.

This Slideshare is of Rihanna's Loud digipak. The image of Rihanna on the front is a close up picture of her face in which she is looking down with her eyes closed. This connotes that she is shy and at a vulnerable point in her life, it also looks as though she is hiding something as though she cannot look at the camera. This really does represent what the album is about as most of the songs are about love and the journey she is going through/has been through, it represents that Rihanna does have a vulnerable side to her as well as a feisty and sexy side.
The font which is used on the front cover is very thin and in white font, however it is in capital letters and this makes it stand out. It contrasts with the pink/red colours which are also on the front cover, the lettering is very simple but this makes it look better and more sophisticated.
Rihanna's physical appearance is a very sexy and fierce look, this is shown through the use of the bright red lipstick she is wearing and her fiery bright red hair. These bright colours connote that she is a brave and confident woman as the colours are so vibrant.
The camera shot which is used is a high angle camera shot, this is used to show and emphasize that actually she can be very vulnerable. Her facial expression is very bland and neutral and shes showing little emotion, however she is looking down with her eyes closed which shows she doesn't want to give off any emotion. It sort of tells the audience shes a very private person with her emotions and wants to keep it to herself. The album title is called 'LOUD' this really signifies and represents Rihanna as an artist, it reflects who she is and the music she makes. She likes to stand out and really get her message across in her music with the lyrics of even the music video. The title loud really grabs the audience attention and captures their interest.

The producer of the CD is Antonio "LA" reid, he has signed many other successful and big artists such as Mariah Carey, Justin Beiber and Kanye West. The recording label is called Def Jam records which represents R&B, hip hop and urban music, this represents Rihanna and the music she produces as an artist , she does many songs which vary from the Genre's above.
I feel the main target audience for the CD and CD cover is females which range from 16-24, this is because of the songs involved in the album and also fans of Rihanna range from all different ages. However the audience can also be targeted at males as many men feel Rihanna is a very sexy woman.
It appeals more the the female audience because of the main image of Rihanna and the bright red and pink casing cover. Young females look up to Rihanna and would like to inspire to be like her, where as males will find her attractive and therefore want to listen to the Album. aspire to be like her and the male target audience will want to be with her.

ANALYSIS FOR "RED" (Writing is small on the prezi)
The following images were from ne-yo's album 'RED'. On the front cover there is only one image, which is the main image. It is an extreme close up of ne-yo really capturing his face and the emotions. In the image you can only see one side of his face, however you can tell their is emotion there. The fact that he is turnt sideways and only wants to show one side gives off a number of impressions to the audience, for example he isn't ready to face the world and show his full emotions yet he only wants the audience to see what he chooses to show. This can also be further proved by the fact he has a hat on, meaning he is shielding himself. The front cover is half red and half a normal colors, which connotes a dark fierce side within Ne-yo rather than the sad lovey Ne-yo we see through many of his songs. The audience may see him as more sexier on this cover as hes showing hes strong and masculine. I like the fact their is two colours on the front cover it shows their is two sides to every story and this connotes Ne-yo trying to tell another journey throughout his life. In one image ne-yo can be seen with his fist out with a bright light shining from his hand, he is looking sternly and fiercly at the light, this can show that he is back now and stronger than ever. The writing on the Album is in bold thick writing to show that he wants to capture the audience attention and wants them to see it and recongnize it. The album title is in Red which contrasts with the name of the album, this is a really effective technique to use it just emphazizes the title so much more. The image on the back of the album is a long shot and Ne-yo's whole body can be seen in the image, however like the front cover his face is still not fully shown. He has a hat on which covers his face, again this emphazies the fact he hasmany emotions he wants to shield from the world.
